Gameplay

Hangaroo is a word puzzle game that follows a similar format to the classic Hangman game.

Players attempt to guess a hidden phrase by selecting letters one at a time. Each incorrect guess results in a cartoon kangaroo, the game’s mascot, losing one of its four chances before being "hung."

A level ends if the player correctly guesses the phrase or runs out of attempts.

The goal is to complete ten levels in a row.

Tips and Tricks

• Start with common letters: Begin by guessing the most frequently used letters in the English language: E, A, O, I, N, R, T, and S. These letters are more likely to appear in most phrases.
• Look for vowels first: Since every English word has at least one vowel, guessing A, E, I, O, and U early can help you figure out the word’s structure.
• Consider word length: If the phrase has a short word with only a few letters, it could be a common word like IT, ON, AT, IS, THE, …
• Use phrase category: Think about words related to the category before guessing randomly.
• Identify common word patterns: Many words end in common suffixes like -ED, -ING, -TION, and -LY. Try recognizing common letter combinations like TH, CH, SH, ING, and ER to narrow down possibilities.
