1001 Arabian Nights game info
Gameplay
Swap adjacent tiles to create three or more of the same gems in a row or column. This will make them disappear from the board.
To complete a level, you must restore various relics by collecting pieces scattered throughout the playing field. Collect the pieces by dropping them to the bottom of the board.
Note that some levels are special, in these you have to turn all backgrounds on the board into a different color by matching the tiles on them. This is similar to the gameplay of Jewel Quest, an
other match 3 game on our website.
On the left of the playing field is the magic pot. It can be charged by matching four or more tiles. When it is fully charged, it will move a bit up. When the magic pot is used, it will remove certain tiles on the playing field, helping you towards your goal of making the relic pieces reach the bottom.
Tile types
- Locked tiles: Locked tiles (sometimes even double-locked) cannot be swapped until they are unlocked. Pair them with matching tiles to unlock them.
- Frozen tiles: Frozen tiles cannot be moved until melted. Place two matching tiles next to them to melt them.
- Brick tiles: Brick tiles (dark grey) cannot be matched but can be moved, but they can be removed by moving them to the bottom of the playing field.
- Rock tiles: Rock tiles cannot be matched and cannot be moved. You will have to play and match around them.
Power-ups
The game features several power-ups that can be extremely helpful to complete a level.
Power-ups are earned by making their corresponding tiles (e.g. a tile with an hourglass) reach the bottom of the playing field.
Note that power-ups can be saved for later levels, so it might be smart to save them for the hard levels at the end instead of using them in the easier levels.
The following power-ups are available:
- Bomb of Sinbad the Sailor: Removes a cluster of tiles from the playing field. Click the bomb and drag it onto the region where you want to remove tiles.
- Lightning of Malice: Eliminates all tiles of a certain kind from the playing field. Click on the lightning and drag it onto the tile type you want to remove.
- Silver Moon of Queen Zumurrud: Swaps two tiles that are not adjacent. Click on the moon and drag it onto the tile you want to swap.
- Hourglass of King Shehriyar: Adds 30 seconds to the timer. Click on the hourglass to use this power-up.
Scoring
For each match you make you earn points. After completing a level, you get a time bonus which depends on how much oil there is left in the lamp.
Sometimes bags with bonus points will appear. Eject them from the bottom of the playing field to earn the bonus points.
Based on your level score and time, you are awarded a gold, silver or bronze star. Can you get a gold star for each level?
Time limit
In each level there is a time limit: you must complete the level before the lamp's oil burns out.
If the lamp's oil burns out, you will lose one life.
Game end
You have three lives to start with, and losing a level will deduce one life. When you lost all your lives, the game ends.
